The Carrington, (Formerly Carrington House) is located right in the heart of Bathurst CBD in beautiful Keppel St. See the Google Map in our Contact us section.

We have intimate spaces perfect for 20 guests and huge ballrooms seating 350 guests.

The Venue is a fully restored Victorian- Era Moulin Rouge Theatre. Built in 1889 by the Masons, the venue retains much of the original Masonic symbolism in venue markings and interior layout. In 2006, the ground floor and the Third floor were extensively renovated. In 2009, our Mezzanine Level was completely re built enabling us to seat up to 350 including the dance floor space.

You can't beat being in the middle of town. We are walking distance to beautiful parks, churches, pubs/clubs and taxi ranks!

 

Three of the citys main churches are within a two blocks.

 

Machattie Park - the most popular location in Bathurst for out door weddings is 100m away.

 

William St - the main street of Bathurst is 100m away - making our venue very easy to find.

 

Good Coffee Shops just down the road.

 

We have lots of parking around the venue and flat easy access - no stairs or ramps to enter our ground floor.

 

"Peace of Mind" all inclusive quoting service

We will provide you an all inclusive quote for your event, ensuring that all of your requirements are covered. Our Conference and Function Pack pricing is gst inclusive. If our function packs don't cover it, send us an email for peace of mind. 

 

Many of the services we deliver are included in our function pack and un like other venues are not an added extra. For example we do not charge a kitchen use fee (other venues $2.20 pp), we do not charge a chair fee or table fee (other venue $3.30 pp) and so on. We do not put security staff on and charge you for them without your permission  - the list goes on. Our function packs offers include Room Hire for 70 plus adult guests for peace of mind. We offer a 90 day fixed price gaurantee.

Wedding Receptions

We offer a personalised wedding reception service. The Carrington is a flexible venue for wedding receptions with our Grand Ball Room, comfortable lounge bar, beer gardens and mezzanine seating (if required). We cater for weddings from 20 guests to 350 guests seated with a dance floor. See our website function area for photo's. More extensive photo library is available at our venue.

 

Dinners

We have both small intimate rooms and large Ballrooms available. We cater for private dinners from 20 guests to large dinners seating up to 350. Extensive range of menu's available. If you want something different, send us an email and we will have our chefs tailor something for you.

 

Cocktail Parties

The Carrington can cater from 20 guests to up to 450 guests for an exclusive cocktail party. We have a fantastic canapes menu which can be tailored to match your budget. We can organise a DJ for you, Acoustic Guitar, Jazz Trio's, Rock Bands or simply hook up a great sound system with ipod connectivity for you to do your own music. Our stage can be used for presentations or performances to maximise your use of space. Milestone Birthdays - 21sts, 30th's are our speciality. (we did a 90th last year! - way to go)

 

Conferences

Our ground floor, lounge bar and mezzanine all face our Moulin Rouge Stage with uninterupted views of your presenter for flexible conference formatting.

State of the art conferencing facilities are available including PA's, cordless Mics, Screens, Data Projectors and conference brain-storming equipment. Our equipment is all available in-house with our team able to manage your requirements. With in-house catering and gourmet espresso coffee available, we can look after everyone. We have three floors with break out spaces for your exclusive use.

 

The Carrington Theatre - "World Class"

Our venue can be hired either outright or with a door deal (by arrangement) for live performances. Artists regard the venue as World Class.

We pride ourselves on being artist-friendly. Back Stage Loading Dock, Off Street Parking, Green Room and shower facilities available.

We also offer a local ticketing agent and promoter, online ticketing & marketing packages.

 

Reunions - Wakes - Christenings 

We offer an exclusive and comfortable environment for Wakes, Christenings, Family and School Reunions. Our venue can be made available to you with 24 hours notice. Fully licensed bar, Tea / Coffee Stations and in-house catering all available. Guests can buy their own drinks at these events (as they can at any function at The Carrington). 

 

In- house and Off site catering

Our substantial and delicious catering will ensure your guests talk about our food well beyond your event.

At The Carrington, all catering is done onsite in our large commercial kitchen. Off site, we are equipped to set up a complete commercial kitchen at the location of your choice.

 

Fully Licensed (Now available till 3.00am)

Three Floors, Beer Gardens Plus we are Bathurst's only Off Site Caterer with a Catering Liquor License.

We are able to provide a wide selection of beverages for your event and have packages that can be tailored to your requirements. We are also able to match wine to your selected menu.

Bars are located on each level of The Carrington - Street Level, The Mezz and The Loft.

 

Espresso Coffee

deserves it's own heading! We can give you a caffeine hit at any event at The Carrington. Machines are located in our Bars on the Ground and Third Floors. In house we offer both drink here and take away options - popular for conferences.

 

Staffing & Personal Service

The Carrington is family owned  and as a family owned business, our venue has a deserved reputation for high quality personalised service. Put simply we care more for you because it is our business. We are blessed with a great staff. (thank you team) Many of our staff have been with us for years and will go out of there way to look after you. Our staff are uniformed and wear name badges for your service. Staffing Levels are by arrangement to suit your budget.

 

Conference Equipment

See our Conference Pack for our full range of in-house Sound and Vision Options. If we don't have it, we will get it in for you. We also permit clients to bring there own gear.

 

Chair Covers / Decorations

Our decorator can source chair covers and sashes to meet your theme and colour choice. We also have a wide range of in-house decoration options including candelabra’s and t light options. See our function pack for options and pricing.

 

Event Management Services

We have extensive experience in complete event management for functions ranging from 10 people to 2000. We can co-ordinate venue set up, audio visual, entertainment, security as well as match food and beverages.

We can recommend both classical and modern talented local photographers that can capture your special event.

To add flair and excitement to any event we can recommend a wide array of music from local national award winning choirs to the best cover bands in the region. Our audio visual technicians and suppliers will make your event a success.
